Labor Neighbor Radio (LNR)

Project Summary

LNR was created by a board of labor unions in 2006. LNR produces and airs radio programming specific to workers and workers' families. LNR started in Puget Sound, and is now expanding to E. Washington ( Spokane, Yakima, Tri-Cities). The SHIP grant supports developing, scripting, producing, and airing workplace safety radio spots on timely topics.The specific goal is to see a decrease in workplace accidents, injuries and fatalities.  Distribute radio safety messages at a rate of up to two per month, airing general safety messages over a network of radio stations to effect geographic coverage of the entire state.
