Agricultural Employee Safety Orientation Training Video, in English and Spanish

Project Summary
The Washington Growers League proposes to produce and distribute a comprehensive safety orientation training video, in English, Spanish, and two Mixtecan dialects for use by all agricultural employers across the state. This safety orientation training video would include L&I-approved information about accident prevention programs and basic farm safety rules; what to do in an emergency; how and when to report injuries; hazardous chemical communication; safe lifting; field sanitation; food safety sanitation standards; and heat-related illnesses. This training video would be distributed to growers across the state and made available on the L&I website, thereby improving the rate of compliance for employers required to provide this safety training and reducing the risk of work-related accidents, injuries and illnesses for the state's agricultural workers.
