Participatory Ergonomics: Early Identification and Reduction of Risk

UW Facilities Services/Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)/Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS)

Project Summary

Using a pictorial survey of their tasks, custodians will indicate which tasks cause them discomfort. After we analyze the results of the survey and seek further input from the custodians, we will pilot ergonomic interventions to reduce the reported discomfort. To assess program success, we will calculate the reduction in risk and the decrease in discomfort caused by the selected tasks.

Amount Awarded: $198,408.00.
