Measuring Worker Exposure to UV Radiation in the Cannabis Industry, and Efficacy of Protective Clothing

University of Washington/The Cannabis Alliance

Project Summary

We did a study of UV exposure levels to workers in the cannabis growing operations. We measured radiation levels in both indoor and outdoor growing facilities. We studied lighting and work processes to see where exposure levels were the highest. It also includes our evaluation on wearable UV sensors for those employees at risk. With the results of this study, we have created four posters in both English and Spanish.
