Project Summary
This project will partner with the University of Washington (UW) as Employer (UW Office of Risk Management, Claims Services), in conjunction with Harborview Medical Center, to develop and test the effectiveness of a best practices electronic multimedia supervisor training module aimed at early, safe return to work (RTW) in injured and ill healthcare workers (Group 1), compared to "usual practice" alone (Group 2). Supervisor knowledge, beliefs, and practices regarding early, safe RTW in employees with work-related injuries and illnesses will be measured before and after intervention delivery in both groups.
